Join us for a special visit from The Charleston Museum! Learn all about the creatures that outnumber people 1.4 billion to one! Discover why bugs are important for life surviving on Earth and examine a variety of these fascinating animals to see the characteristics that make insects so cool! Students will inspect insects through a microscope, create bug rubbings, look through bug eyes, and create art with stamps.
Founded in 1773 and commonly regarded as “America's First Museum,” The Charleston Museum is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, accredited by the American Alliance of Museums. This learning opportunity aligns with SC Education standards: LS1.B/LS2.D/LS3.A/LS3.B and is intended for learners age 6+. Caregiver attendance is required.
