Join Dorchester County 4-H Agent Molly Jones in an educational series all about BIRDS! Birds can be spotted in every environment around the globe, making birding an activity that can be done anywhere and by anyone of any age! In this series, participants will learn about the birds native to South Carolina and the various environments where they can be observed. All classes will incorporate the 4-H slogan of "learn by doing" and will include hands-on activities to enrich the learning material. Participants will learn the necessary skills to become a successful birder and learn how to attract wild birds to their yards. This 6-week series will engage and inspire youth to become one with nature in every season.
This series will meet from 1:30 -3:00 on the following dates:
Nov: 6th, 13th, 20th
Dec: 4th, 11th, 18th
While we love our gardening friends of all ages, this series is intended for children ages 5 and up. Caregivers must remain on site.
